اسمح لي أن أترجم نصك الهادف هذا إلى الإنجليزية أخي تفالي.. هكذا:
Hope
By Tfali Abdelhay
Translated By Abdellatif Rhesri
A skinny old man sat by my side. He was wearing shabby clothes and his face was worn away with the vestiges of time. He told me, 'if we could not make you happy on Earth and protect you from these merciless murderers who unjustly shed blood, take loots, kill talents and tell lies, then forgive us, for we were not serious enough when we were under their grip. They lied to us and we believed them, and only God bears witness to that. They beat us and held us hostages in their horrible jails. Whenever I remember what they did to us, my eyes run with tears and I feel like fire is burning in my heart. Nevertheless; I am glad to get hope from you, O youths. It's you that would clear this Earth from them and sow the seeds of love, brotherhood, dialogue, understanding, justice and equality. I always see youths as tenacious as mountains and as determined as lions that fight for their territories. But, if you fail to achieve freedom, then at least give hope to the generation that follow you and never kill it. For, hope is life itself.
Having finished his speech; he walked away and my eyes followed him until he disappeared into the crowds.
At night, when I put my head on the pillow, I saw him in my dream flying to the heavens. I said, 'take me with you' and he said, 'no, I'm flying to the place where I must wait for the day of resurrection. As to you, you should stay on Earth because you're hope.
