Downcast, she stood by the grocery door. He hastily finished serving the existing clients; while she remained glued to the door.
“Enter”.. He said. She followed from a back door that connected the shop to his home.. He then shut the door down.
She handed the grocery bags to her mother who never asked about the reason of her delay…..Visitors were about to arrive.
Two months later, Gala’a fainted and was rushed to hospital. The mother insisted on miscarriage . She was afraid of being discovered by the father when he returns back home after a very long absence. Doctors disagreed as it is punishable by law.
Next day, the mother left Hossam’s shop disappointed after he had refused to marry the daughter and said she is not a minor besides he did not force her!
One day, Galaa’s funeral was seen devoid of followers except for a few men who were accidentally passing by.
